Esteban Ocon is counting on getting Alpin among the leaders of Formula 1.

The team finished fourth in the Constructors` Championship, with Okon ahead of team-mate Fernando Alonso on points.

For me personally, the season turned out to be decent, as well as for the team. We did not start as we would like, we ended up behind Haas and Alfa Romeo, the car did not work to the maximum.

I quickly realized where the problems were, and we told the team about them. She managed to translate this into updates which helped a lot. Understanding the car and the novelty allowed me to take a step forward. In many races, I felt at one with the car, squeezed the maximum and earned big points - for example, I came fourth or fifth. The weekends in Austria, Suzuka and Budapest came out very strong, - Okon shared his thoughts on the results prediction by pay for soccer prediction of the 2022 season.

The Frenchman commented on the problems with the Renault engine, which caused a lot of trouble for him, and even more for Alonso:

The team initially relied on a competitive car, and not on reaching the race at the end of the peloton. [Motor] regulations were frozen, and we wanted to attack from the very beginning, which, of course, led to reliability problems. Yes, we lost points, but still took fourth place.

Esteban also talked about Alpin`s ambitions ahead of the 2023 season:

I hope we get closer to the leaders. That is our goal, and at the moment the car for next year looks very promising on the simulator. Of course, we need to stay realistic, but it seems that we have taken a step in the right direction, and we can`t wait to see what happens.

If the regulations remain unchanged, at some point all the teams improve and can get closer to the top three. We are focused on this and are next in line to get there.
