Dirk Nowitzki will join Amazon as an NBA expert. Dallas` 2011 NBA champion and 14-time All-Star Dirk Nowitzki is expected to begin his broadcast career by joining Amazon Prime Video for NBA coverage beginning in the 2025-26 season.
According to insider Mark Stein, Nowitzki and Amazon are close to a deal.
Next season, Amazon and NBC will join Disney (ABC/ESPN) as NBA media rights holders, replacing TNT.
Earlier this week, it was reported that Amazon had agreed to hire Ian Eagle as its chief match from football livescore commentator, but had yet to hire any pundits. Candidates included Nowitzki, Blake Griffin, Richard Jefferson and Stan Van Gundy.
